Mrs Leonie Homewood
General Psychologist

Leonie is a registered psychologist with over 10 year's experience. She has worked in a variety of workplace environments, including Private Practice, Educational and Community settings.  Lee has a compassionate and caring approach. She is flexible, warm and genuine in her approach, aiming to create an inclusive, safe, respectful and non-judgmental therapeutic space. She prioritizes building engagement with clients, encouraging and supporting them to be active collaborators in their treatment.
 

Lee has experience with a wide range of presentations including anxiety, anger management, depression, confidence and self-esteem issues.

 

In the community sector Lee worked in the area of addictions, providing counselling to those affected by drug, alcohol and
gambling issues and their families. Lee has a particular interest and experience in working with individuals on the autism spectrum, especially children and their families to implement positive behavior change in their lives. She enjoys working with people across varying ages and life stages including children and teenagers.

As a psychologist, Lee works in a range of therapeutic approaches. Therapy is evidence-based, while also being flexible and guided by individual clients needs and preferences.

 

Lee most frequently uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness based approaches. Lee has experience working with Work Cover claims, NDIS, TAC and Mental Health Treatment Plans.
